When I bought a pet from a pet shop, I was worried about using only the cardboard box the shop provided, so I bought this product and used it only to bring the pet home. Since it contained Timothy hay, I wiped it down with a pet cleaning sheet just in case, but there may be some Timothy hay residue remaining. I will ship the item in this outer box as is. I cannot use bubble wrap or other packaging because the product and the box are the same size. Please understand these three points before purchasing.
