This is a beautiful plate stand, known as the "Mingei-kan type," which has been used at the Japan Folk Crafts Museum for a long time, and it enhances the plates displayed on it. It is made of luxurious Japanese zelkova wood and is sized to hold large plates. I believe it's important to display good plates on a fitting plate stand. There are some minor scratches, but I don't think they detract from the appearance. Please refer to the photos. The original purchase sticker is still attached.
