Toyo Enterprises Kosho & Co. Special Edition Early 1950s Style Sukajan Jacket TT15198-145 A masterpiece from the early 1950s, now being reproduced for the first time. The front features a Japanese map design composed of colorful fabric and colored threads. It has more place names than the usual map patterns, with the locations of US military bases and major cities of the time embroidered on it. The reverse side features the main tiger print of this piece, created using hand-screen printing (hand-printing), where each color is printed using a separate screen and then layered by hand. This process requires an unimaginable amount of effort and time, resulting in a small production run at the time. Consequently, very few of these jackets remain, and in the vintage market, they command prices that are hard to believe, along with the "skull pattern" jackets. This is a superb piece befitting the final year of the Tiger, the zodiac animal for 2022, as a special edition. “KOSHO & CO.” SPECIAL EDITION This Special Edition is a collection by Tailor Toyo that meticulously recreates particularly select pieces, paying close attention to detail. The designs are intricately drawn with horizontal embroidery, and the acetate fabric is adjusted to match the vintage feel. The wool ribbing is also knitted one by one using old-style horizontal knitting machines. The reversible zipper also uses a 50-year-old fastening machine, reproducing the hand-bent zippers of the time. Using the label of Kosho & Co., the predecessor of Tailor Toyo, the jacket has a finish that evokes the golden age of vintage Sukajan.
