This is the chest piece of a kendo dou (body protector). It was removed from a Takagi-nuri 43-piece bamboo dou. There are multiple holes, so it may have been reassembled. The decorative thread color is navy. The front is not black-dyed deerskin, but a glossy tanned leather. The milk leather is navy cowhide. The size is about a general L size. It has been used and shows signs of wear, scratches, and scuffs. This is a used item. Please bid only if you understand this.
