Made in England MAPPIN & WEBB Venetian Plate, Large Plate Size is approximately 27cm. A long-established British silverware company, founded in 1775. This is a plate from the "Venetian" series by Royal Grafton, a now-defunct famous English kiln, and is very rare. This series was heavily promoted at the London headquarters about 30 years ago. Original price was around 15,000 yen. It seems to be a series designed by David Linley for Mappin & Webb. As it is quite old, I hope you will consider it as an antique. I loved it because it is very stylish, but I am selling it to declutter. It looks clean at first glance, but upon closer inspection, there are fine scratches and scuffs. There are scratches in the center, which is not noticeable as it is where food is placed, and fine scratches on the gold line. There are also small dents on the back. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to these details, as it has been stored at home.
