They were kept on a shelf in a closet. My parents used to have a dog and now have a cat. There was also a smoker. The covers, of course, and the pages inside have many tears, stains, and scratches. There are multiple instances where the cover and the body of the book are attached with tape. There are also tape marks. However, I didn't find any noticeable stains or writing in the manga sections. I think there are no problems with reading them. Please consider purchasing, understanding the condition of the books and the storage situation.
