It's not a rental copy; it was purchased and kept by an individual. I loved this animation and watched it several times when I bought it. I recently watched all 26 episodes twice, and it's still incredibly interesting! It was broadcast quite a while ago, but I prefer it to current digital animation (although I do like some modern works). I think even children who don't read books can enjoy it as an animation. "Treasure Island" is, in my opinion, a masterpiece that everyone should experience, either by reading or watching it. The TV series has all 26 episodes. I also bought the theatrical version, but it's still unplayed, wrapped in plastic. I feel a sense of discomfort with the theatrical version because the voice actors are different. I have the image of the voices from when I watched it on TV every week, so I feel a disconnect when the voices are different. If you're interested, please consider it. Silver's voice, by Genzo Wakayama... it's just amazing! The protagonist, Jim, is voiced by Mari Shimizu (the voice of Astro Boy).
