This is a rare "ichiyama" style round eyeglasses, believed to date from the Taisho to early Showa period. It is being listed as part of a decluttering of my family home. This item was custom-made at Matsuzakaya at the time, and the accompanying dedicated case bears the logo "イトウマル (Matsuzakaya)". [Features] Ichiyama bridge: A unique antique structure where there are no nose pads, and the glasses rest directly on the bridge of the nose. Engraving: There is an engraving on the underside of the bridge. I cannot read it, however... Case: A genuine Matsuzakaya case is included. [Size] (Amateur measurements) Total front width: approx. 105mm [Condition] As this is a very old item, the metal parts show signs of age-related deterioration, dullness, and minor rust. The case is significantly deteriorated (peeling, stains), but I will include it as is, considering its historical value. The lenses appear to be prescription. When using them, please have the lenses replaced and fitted at an optician.
