The RGXA2, released by Yamaha in 2005, is a highly ambitious and unique design, and is now a very rare model. It seems that this model is no longer widely available on Mercari and other online auction sites. The most notable feature is its weight; despite being a full-size body (not headless), it weighs only 2.6kg (actual measurement on a health meter), providing high playability for women and for long hours on stage. Other features include simple controls with only a volume knob and pickup selector (omitting tone control), a 9V battery-powered LED pickup position indicator (the pickups are passive, so playing is not affected even if the battery runs out), and easy-to-tune rotary tuners. These are just some of the many features not found on other guitars. It is also famous for being used by Rafael Bittencourt of Angra and Jean-Ken Johnny of MAN WITH A MISSION. Although it was manufactured in 2007, almost 20 years ago, it is generally in good condition. There is almost no rust on the metal parts. The frets have 90% life remaining, the neck is almost straight, and the truss rod turns in both directions.
