This item belonged to my grandmother. It is a haori (a type of Japanese jacket). It has been stored in a chest for many years, so it smells like mothballs. There may be age-related stains, yellowing, or insect damage. There are stains like the one circled in red. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive or concerned about minor details. I am not knowledgeable about kimonos, but my grandmother ran a kimono shop for many years, so I believe this is a quality item. I have not had it cleaned.
