Edo Kiriko is designated as a traditional craft of Japan and Tokyo. Its origins are said to date back to 1834, when Kyubei Kagaya, who ran a glass shop in Odenmacho, Edo, began to engrave glass surfaces. It is characterized by deep, sharp cuts and clear, vibrant patterns, with many designs incorporating traditional kimono patterns. These wine glasses feature delicate cuts on vibrant blue glass, combining Yarai patterns, Nanako patterns, and the powerful Sasanohatsu patterns. They are small and easy to hold, combining decoration and practicality. In addition, the appropriately sized set of plates is perfect for serving sweets and dishes. Made using traditional techniques, the wooden lacquerware is adorned with gold, resulting in a design that stands out for its splendor and elegance.
