Kena production studio "Kaze Kobo" (Wind Workshop). This is a D-pipe quenacho made from Houraichiku bamboo harvested in southern Kyushu. Total length 520mm, outer diameter near the mouthpiece approximately 26.4mm, inner diameter approximately 20mm. Finger holes are approximately 11.5mm at their largest. The mouthpiece has a unique shape, filed with a flat file, which is often used in our quenachos because it improves the low-range sound. This quenacho, though slightly slender, is a superb flute that resonates well from the low notes. The pitch is tuned assuming A440 at a temperature of 20 degrees Celsius, but it will be around A442-443 in a room temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. Please understand that there is considerable individual variation as it changes significantly depending on how you use your breath.
