Gabbeh, woven to be fluffy, is originally lightweight. For nomads who travel through harsh nature such as mountains and deserts, it serves as a convenient rug for travel, bedding, and sometimes a cover to protect donkeys, chickens, and other livestock on cold nights. In recent years, due to the popularity of Gabbeh in Europe and Japan, the production for export as interior items such as rugs and wall hangings has also increased.
