I used this for my child for one season. I mainly used it for outings on weekends, so I think it has been used only a little. There are no noticeable stains or anything of concern. The neck area is warm, so I don't think a scarf is necessary. The body part has a boa lining. The sleeves do not have boa, so I think it's easy to wear and look slim.
