This appears to be an old soy sauce bottle. It has a "Chicken Sauce" logo and the words "Chicken Sauce" and "Fragrant and Delicious" written in vertical right-to-left script. The entire body has a "san-kuzushi" pattern, and the lid has an embossed rose-like design. It was found in its original box, wrapped in old newspaper or a magazine. I believe it is unused. I will be selling it without cleaning it to preserve the atmosphere. Based on the contents of the newspaper or magazine that wrapped the bottle, I believe it dates from around 1936-1939. The same bottle and box (though not the exact same individual item) are featured on page 25 of Kounosuke Sakazaki's book, "Embraced by Japanese Glass." Bottle Size: Height: Approximately 10.4cm Diameter: Approximately 6.3cm There are no visible scratches or cracks. Please check the photos for the detailed condition of the item. Please also read and agree to the contents of the profile section. We look forward to your purchase.
