This is a Japanese-style ring pillow made using a one-go (180ml) masu (wooden square cup) made of Japanese cypress.
The groom's haori (formal jacket) is made of Nishijin-ori (Nishijin textile), and the bride's shiromuku (white wedding kimono) is made of Kinran (gold brocade) Nishijin-ori. The pillow base on top uses Kinran fabric.
The masu is an auspicious "ire-masu" (a masu used for holding things).
It can be used not only for the ceremony but also as a prop for pre-wedding photos or as a prop for weight rules.
It can also be used as interior decoration after the ceremony.
