The distinctive design features leather covering the instep and the big toe area. The material used is Latigo leather, a leather favored by Native Americans. Despite being tough and thick, the leather becomes surprisingly soft and conforms to the foot the more you wear it. The arch support in the instep flexes with wear, conforming to the shape of the wearer's foot. The outsole uses a Birkenstock sole, which offers excellent cushioning.
