I drew this with the motif of mandarin oranges. I painted it with watercolors on Mermaid paper. From the name "Mermaid paper," I imagined mermaids, and created a painting of the original character, Lala the mermaid, and her sea slug friend, Rele, who got lost in the Seto Inland Sea and encountered local specialties and scenery.
