The SC-88VL was purchased over 10 years ago at Hard Off as a battery-dead junk item. It's the item in the photos and was able to play MIDI files with TMIDI Player. The display has no defects. No serial cable is included. I used it exclusively for playing MIDI files, so I haven't replaced the battery. midiman MIDISPORT 2X2 This is a USB MIDI interface. SC-88 series requires two MIDI out ports, so I used this. It was working on Windows 10. Additional rubber feet have been added. Operation confirmed on 2025/03/04. The MID SPORT2X2 driver is not official and is only available on overseas archive sites. Please be aware of this. On 2025/10/21, the MID SPORT2X2 did not work on Windows 11 even after installing the driver. It seems that it can be used on Windows 11 if you prepare a separate CME U4MIDI WC interface, but I haven't confirmed this. As a bonus, I'll include two MIDI cables and one USB cable that I used. I am a non-smoker, but I do soldering work in the same room. As it is equipment from over 20 years ago, please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about its condition.
