This is a sooty, aged wooden carving. It's about 4 centimeters long and 4 centimeters high. I believe it's a fragment of the magic mallet held by Daikoku-sama (the god of wealth). It seems to have been enshrined with other Buddhist statues in a small shrine, and even as a piece of wood, it still garnered faith. I have various other folk crafts for sale.
