This is a bamboo basket I purchased at a Mingei shop last year. It's a suzudake (thin bamboo) draining basket. It's deep, and the base is high, making it sturdy. It's a traditional craft item, and I've priced it much lower than what I paid for it. Due to a lack of successors and rising prices of raw materials, prices have been continuously increasing.
