I only wore them once when I bought them (with tabi socks) to go out in the car, so there are no noticeable chips, but there are some minor scratches. Please understand that these are used items. However, I think people will tell you they're cute whether you're wearing them or taking them off and lining them up! They are a classic type with gold-colored metal fittings.
