U.S. Military Surplus These overpants are from the 1940s, during World War II. Before the Air Force became independent in 1947, it was known as the U.S. Army Air Forces (USAAF). These are intermediate range overpants issued to pilots as cold weather gear. They were designed to be worn as a set with the B-10 flight jacket. Early model with zippered pockets on both knees. CONMAR brass zippers. The zippers at the cuffs are also CONMAR brass with a U-shaped stop. Both leather tabs are still present. Both side pockets are pass-through. There is a slight scratch on the right knee when worn, but no other fraying, holes, or damage is visible. There is also very little fading, and the alpaca lining is in good condition. Considering its age, it can be considered to be in mint condition. The USAAF decal color is still vibrant and clear. The rubber has deteriorated, but the leather parts have not hardened, and the original suspenders with the slider markings are included. Made by L.S.L. GARMENT. Marked size: 38 This is not the typical pants size 38, but rather the jacket size for the set. Please refer to the actual measurements. Actual measurements (laid flat): Total length 110cm, Waist 45cm, Rise 40cm, Inseam 70cm, Thigh width 35cm, Hem width 24cm (approx.) Also listing a real B-11 jacket and a civilian B-9 jacket, both deadstock!
