Pigtronix Philosopher's Tone This is the early model, before the micro version was released. Made in USA. In terms of how it's used, it falls into the category of comp -> distortion. It's perfect for thickening and pushing clean tones forward while also roughening them up to create a wild tone. While you can also use it for distortion, the wild clean tone is, in my opinion, the pedal's greatest strength. The IN and OUT jacks clustered on the right side of the effect pedal might be a point of contention for some.
