This is a Laguiole sommelier knife that I purchased new 20 years ago and used for a while. It seems to be called Forge de Laguiole now, perhaps to avoid confusion with Chateau Laguiole. I haven't used it in a long time, so I'm putting it up for sale to declutter. Forge de Laguiole has been made in the village of Laguiole since 1828 as one of France's traditional knives. It is characterized by a cross pattern on the wood handle, created with rivets. Compared to Chateau Laguiole, the grip has a bulge, and the streamlined form is very beautiful. I don't remember exactly, but the material of the wood handle is probably briar. The foil cutter is not a saw blade, but a longer knife type. The Laguiole logo is engraved on the handle of the knife. Since I actually used it, there are some scratches on the metal parts. There is also a slight gouge on the handle, but this was present when I bought it new. The sharpness wasn't very good, so I sharpened it once. Please check the photos for details.
