Works by Crafterior This is a work made of overlay glass, also used in Edo Kiriko. The upper part is carved with a starry sky depicting the Milky Way, and the lower part is carved with a cityscape of skyscrapers. The bottom is also engraved with a cityscape and starry sky, as if reflected on the surface of the water. ■Point■ Overlay glass refers to glass with layers of different colors. By carving away only the colored layer, various patterns and gradations are created. This also creates steps that correspond to color changes, giving the glass a unique texture. Since the patterns are designed solely through engraving, there is no color fading due to washing or aging. Size: W75×H88mm
