There are some insertion marks on the shank. The manufacturing period is thought to be relatively old, but according to the previous owner, "I'm not sure exactly, but it may have been made during the handmade era." (I haven't investigated either, so I don't know) I think this is an easy-to-play piece with Greg Black's characteristic tight, dense sound and good projection.
