This item came from the storehouse of my grandmother's house, where she enjoyed the tea life. Upon investigation, it appears to be a tea utensil, likely found in a tea cabinet. It's a very sturdy wooden product, and there are two of them. It seems to be lacquered. There's a slatted bottom inside. In Chinese tea ceremonies, it seems to be used to discard hot water. It seems that in the past, it was used like a tray when serving tea. It's still a cool tea utensil even now. I'll sell one for 1800 yen.
