A youth movie made to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the Date clan in Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture. Directed by Kenichi Omori, who is from the prefecture, the film refreshingly depicts the struggles of a woman working in the library's bicycle department, while incorporating the history and charm of Uwajima. Suzume, who returned to her hometown of Uwajima City after debuting as a novelist but unable to write her second book, begins working to transport books from the city library by bicycle. One day, she hears from Tome, a regular customer, that there used to be a private Date Library in front of the city library. Tome herself worked there, but the library was burned down in an air raid. Meanwhile, the town is in a frenzy searching for "the family's heirloom book" to restore the embroidery patterns on the costumes used in the "Date 400th Anniversary Festival" samurai parade. In the midst of this, it is discovered that the library's bicycle department is on the verge of being abolished. Rina Takeda from "Attack on Titan" plays the main character, Suzume.
