This is a valuable Hon-Susudake (female bamboo) Shinobue that I received. *The bamboo used was in the ceiling of an old folk house, and over 100 years of exposure to the smoke of the irori (sunken hearth) has given it a unique and beautiful amber color. The Shinobue also has traces of nails from that time, and I think it's a piece with a lot of character. (The black parts are traces of soot.) Being Hon-Susudake, it is a rare and hard-to-find piece. I think the condition is quite good, but it is a used item, so please understand this and consider purchasing it if you will cherish it. *We will clean, waterproof, and take measures to protect it from impact before shipping.
