This is a guitar made by my father, whose hobby was guitar making, before he passed away. The sides and back are made of beautiful-grained Indian rosewood, and the top is spruce (probably German spruce). The size and basic specifications mimic the pre- and post-war D28. The truss rod is adjustable. It has scalloped X-bracing. The finish is nitrocellulose lacquer. There are marks from masking tape and what appear to be paint runs throughout. It seems that he tried to repair and repaint the top, which has dents and scratches, likely incurred during the manufacturing process, and the bridge has been removed after being mounted. The tuners also seem to have been mounted, but the head plate has been re-glued. The top is in poor condition, with dents and separation at the book-matched seam. Judging from the tap tone, the bracing also seems to be coming loose somewhere. The tuners, saddle, and bridge pins are missing. If you were to rebuild it, it might be better to replace the top wood. Please consider purchasing this item with the understanding that it is a junk item. I am offering this more for repair practice or parts, rather than for playing after completion. The sides and back appear to be undamaged. The grain is also beautiful.
