It is lightweight and durable nylon with an interior padded with cushioning material that fits the instrument. The overall internal space is roughly designed, with soft sponge material placed in key areas to hold the instrument in place. It doesn't fit perfectly, but the instrument won't move around inside. Since it is not made specifically for a particular instrument, the range of application is wide. I mainly used it for tenor trombones, but I have confirmed that it can accommodate an F-attachment trombone with an 8.5-inch bell.
