This item was acquired about 10 years ago during a two-month photography stay in Paris, France. It's rarely seen in Japan, but the camera is likely a Demaria-Lapierre from France, with an Angenieux lens. This is a Lapierre 105mm f4.5 lens for a Demaria-Lapierre DEHEL 6x9 folding camera, adapted for a Nikon F mount. This lens was manufactured from 1939 to 1958. Originally, focus was adjusted by rotating the front element, but a helicoid is more convenient for single-lens reflex cameras, so a PENTAX lens was modified into a Nikon mount lens barrel. Focusing with the lens barrel is smooth. The lens aperture operates smoothly. It's perfectly circular and beautiful. The front element rotates smoothly as well. Infinity focus is achieved. The closest focusing distance is approximately 80cm using the lens barrel helicoid. The lens shutter is fixed at T and does not function. The lens for sale is clean. Even with a penlight, there are no dust particles, debris, mold, or mold marks, but there are slight cleaning marks? (on the front lens surface) visible when using a penlight. Photos taken with a Nikon D3, using color STD mode at f8, without correction, are included at the end. They were intentionally shot in backlight to show the lens's characteristics. It seems to excel at soft rendering. No returns or refunds. Additional photos: The 9th and 10th photos were taken on a cloudy day, and the final 11th photo was taken in semi-backlight on a sunny day. Flare is present, so a lens hood is essential. However, I think the slightly flared, soft-toned photos are masterpieces.
