Showa Retro Short-Sleeved Dress Custom-made in the Showa 40s (late 1960s/early 1970s) by my grandmother. Apparently, ready-made clothes weren't very common back then. Design: I think it's lovely and carefully handcrafted, with details like the rounded sleeve cuffs that match the scale embroidery on the hem, and the scale embroidery on the hem being cut out every other one. Size (approximate measurements, laid flat): Length from collar to hem: 93cm Neck opening: 14cm Sleeve length (shoulder to rounded part): 20cm Armpit to armpit: 21cm Width under bust: 40cm Width of skirt scale embroidery: 50cm Lined bodice Material: Unknown, but it's a good quality item. Color: Turquoise Blue Damage: Besides the stains in the photos, there are also stains on the lining.
