The material is wool. It's 120cm wide x 400cm long, so there's plenty of fabric to make a coat or a Japanese-style haori jacket. I made winter pants with a different color of this fabric, and they were warm and the feel and color were excellent. It's a deep reddish-purple fabric with a see-through floral pattern, giving it a luxurious feel. I bought it a long time ago, but it was around 2000 yen per meter.
