This is an old Noritake plate, slightly over 7 inches in diameter. It features a painting of two birds. Perhaps a swan and a black crow? The gentle orange color, like a loquat, is lovely. It has a somewhat Art Deco feel. The gold trim on the rim is worn. The painting in the center also has many areas where it's worn. There are also many fine scratches. I didn't see any chips or cracks. It came to Mongoru House about 20 years ago, and I hardly used it. Soon after, this plate went to my grandmother's house, where it stayed for about 10 years, I think. I took it back six months ago and have been storing it.
