Two traditional red and white papier-mâché dolls: "Hoko-san." Hoko-san is one of the local toys of Takamatsu papier-mâché. Among the more than one hundred types of Takamatsu papier-mâché, including Ebisu holding a sea bream, lion masks, and papier-mâché tigers, Hoko-san is a representative figure. In the past, Hoko-san was highly valued as a bridal doll or as a charm to cure children's illnesses. They were also shipped to Osaka and Kyoto, and ranked high in the Japanese local toy rankings around the Taisho era. There is a storage period.
