This is Koheigama's Kenzan style, a color-painted pottery that imitates the style of Ogata Kenzan, the founder of Kyo-yaki who was active in the mid-Edo period. It features a gorgeous and elegant atmosphere with hand-painted designs of seasonal plants such as plum and Chinese bellflower. These square individual plates also capture seasonal plants in subdued colors and use gold leaf effectively, creating a rich and expressive atmosphere.
