This model itself is no longer in production. The G-001 series faithfully reproduces the design of the original "Jason" DW-001, released in 1994, while incorporating modern functions. It was re-released around 2010. It features a rounded, soft form with a unique shock-resistant structure called "Capsule Tough," which encapsulates the back cover in resin. The grid-like protector around the LCD screen resembles the mask of Jason from the movie "Friday the 13th," hence the nickname.
