This is a small plate I purchased at an antique market. I liked the colorful peonies and brought it home. The round window in the center seems to depict a landscape painting of a house and a sailboat. Upon closer inspection, it's a bit odd, perhaps a stylized design. It doesn't quite feel right, but that's also interesting. Around the round window are peonies and geometric patterns. The composition and color scheme evoke the Taisho Roman aesthetic. There is some paint flaking, but otherwise, there don't seem to be any noticeable major scratches or chips. Please check the images carefully.
