This is Unshu Soroban, a traditional craft of Shimane Prefecture. The box lid is signed and stamped "Unshu Soroban" and "Made by Nagamatsu." It is carefully crafted with wooden beads and is recommended for collection or practical use. The outer box has age-related scratches and scuffs, but the main body is in relatively good condition.
