This is a kyusu (Japanese teapot) I collected as a hobby a long time ago to enjoy delicious sencha. I had forgotten about it, but I'm listing it now to organize my belongings. It is a black clay kyusu with arabesque patterns made by Masahito Natsume of Tokoname ware. It is characterized by the vermilion arabesque patterns drawn on black clay. It's a rare item, and with a capacity of about 1.5 go (approx. 280ml), it's also easy to use. Size (approx.) 14.5 cm x 12.5 cm x height 9.5 cm Including spout, handle, and lid Capacity: Approximately 280ml (full to the brim) Due to long-term storage, the history is unknown, but it is either unused or used a few times, so I have listed it as "Like new." Please check the condition in each photo. Tokoname-yaki kyusu are said to enhance the flavor of tea. The iron content in the clay is said to react with the tannins in the tea, softening the bitterness and creating a mellow flavor. Although this item has been handled with care, it has been in someone's possession once. I do not recommend it to those who seek perfection in the product.
