Blake Lively from the TV series "Gossip Girl" plays a surfer who confronts a man-eating shark in this survival action film. The director is Jaume Collet-Serra, who also directed "Non-Stop" and "Run All Night."
Nancy, a medical student, comes to a secret beach her deceased mother told her about. Nancy, who enjoyed surfing until sunset, is suddenly attacked by something in the sea and injures her leg. She manages to reach a nearby rock, and realizes that a ferocious and dangerous creature circling the rock is targeting her. The distance from the rock to the shore is only 200 meters, but the tide is rising, and the sea level is rising. Only 100 minutes remain before the rock she's on sinks.
Recommended rating: B [Thrilling and interesting.]
