It features a seamless, beautiful form that tapers towards the tip. The wood type is a premium piece of red and white Karelian burl. The pattern, like an oil painting, is striking. This kind of grain is rare; I've carved many Karelian burls, but I've never encountered a pattern like this before. It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime piece. The PG5 has been a long seller for over 50 years, and its light writing feel and fatigue resistance are supported by many. In Takamura Moku Koubou's wooden barrel customization, we bring out the original charm while adding the warmth and texture unique to wood. Designed to maintain the slim silhouette of the PG5, we minimized the use of metal parts. By utilizing genuine parts, the finished weight is kept to approximately 12-14g. The center of gravity is adjusted to the grip position, allowing it to fit naturally in your fingers, providing a light and comfortable writing experience. The wooden barrel part can be removed and replaced. The surface finish uses a penetrating inorganic glass coating. It penetrates the wood and adheres to the glass, providing high hardness, water resistance, and stain resistance, allowing for long-term, no-maintenance use. With proper handling, it is resistant to scratches and maintains a beautiful condition. *Please be aware that strong impacts and rough handling of the clip can cause damage.
