This item belonged to my grandfather, who lived in Kawaramachi Sanjo, Kyoto, near the river. Plate: Height (including lid) 10.0 cm, Diameter 11.5 cm Box: Height 21.5 cm, Width 29.6 cm, Depth 14.4 cm The box appears to be quite old. Inside, there was a newspaper advertisement for the Toyota Corona. According to online searches, the material is wood and resin, but I can't tell for sure.
