This is a kneading bowl from Matsushiro ware, a representative pottery of Shinshu (present-day Nagano Prefecture). It is a work of the Okada kiln, one of the kilns that represent Matsushiro ware in Shinonoi, Nagano City. The entire piece is glazed with the characteristic blue glaze of the Okada kiln. It has been used with great care, and although there are fine cracks, the condition is good. The size is 25 cm in diameter at the mouth, 16 cm in diameter at the base, and 12.3 cm in height.
