In the era when crossover music was emerging, Victor Records planned an omnibus album. That was "Guitar Workshop." It was intended to create an album featuring original crossover tracks by domestic musicians, mainly focusing on popular guitarists. In July 1977, four guitarists were gathered at Victor's studio for recording, considering contract issues. The album was released in November of the same year. [Katsutoshi Morizono] He had just left the popular band "Shiharinbashi" and was attracting a lot of attention. [Kenji Omura] A guitarist known for his solo albums and studio work with artists like Akai Tori, Off Course, Minako Yoshida, Yosui Inoue, and Mayumi Itsuwa. [Kazumi Watanabe] A guitarist with superb technique and a rising star, having just released a solo album. [Junshi Yamagishi] A veteran of the booming blues scene in the Kansai region. Each guitarist was backed by wonderful musicians with whom they had connections.
