This is a high-end model from the Greco EG series, supervised by the late Shigeru Narumo. It's a legendary guitar embodying Narumo's concept of a "guitar easy for Japanese people to play," a solid-body model (approx. 4.26kg) that followed the concept of the hollow-body EG-650S. I primarily use the EG series, and I intended to use this EG-800 as a sub-guitar, but I'm selling it to organize my equipment (I've had the frets and fingerboard maintained after acquiring it). The neck is slim and thin (about 51mm at the 12th fret), and it has a back contour. Although the Mint Collection series, which is still popular today, came later, I believe this model is far superior as a practical instrument in terms of playability and features like the original Greco U-2000 semi-open pickups. (In my subjective opinion) There are scratches, dents, small rust spots, paint chips, deterioration of the plating, fret wear, and crackling, but I think it's in quite good condition considering its age (there's a paint crack at the neck joint, but it hasn't reached the wood). If you've avoided Les Pauls because the necks are too thick, or if you're looking for a Japanese original concept Les Paul model, why not consider this one! I have over 35 years of guitar experience, but I'm an amateur, so I'll refrain from commenting on the truss rod or neck condition. The only included accessory is the original hard case (please consider it for transportation).
