These are chaps I bought a long time ago at a shop in Ueno. I added conchos to the hem and silver parts to the waist so you can attach a carabiner. They weren't originally high-end items, so the thickness prioritizes ease of movement rather than being overly thick. They are not made of a single piece of leather, but are sewn together. I didn't treat them roughly, but I wore them for two years, so there's some wear and tear, but I haven't fallen, so they are still wearable. However... I lost to the cold and ended up painting while wearing them, so there's paint splattered on them... The zippers are heavy-duty YKK and are not broken. I am 182cm tall, and even when riding a large motorcycle, my socks didn't show. ⚠︎ The above was the description from the previous seller when I purchased them, but they didn't fit my thighs, as I am 180cm and 83kg.
