This is a large bowl with tortoiseshell glaze from the Jizhou kiln of the Southern Song Dynasty in China. The size is 21 cm in diameter and 8 cm in height. The thin vessel has a beautiful, countless flow of reddish-brown glaze from the top, creating a wonderful overall appearance. Smaller tea bowls of about 15 cm are common and well-known, but I believe this size would be classified as a bowl, making it very rare. The foot is made of the Jizhou kiln's pale-colored clay with little iron content, which is thinly exposed, and the condition is also excellent. Thank you.
